Leading Creatively FAQ

Is this programme for you?

This offering is for you if:

  • You’re a leader in the creative industries, committed to making a difference.
  • You’ve set up your own organisation within the last 10 to 15 years or stepped into a Chief Executive role and are navigating new responsibilities.
  • You’re ready to articulate and refine your vision and strategy, grounding your work in what matters most.
  • You’re willing to engage with complexity and emergence, embracing leadership as a process of discovery and co-creation.
  • You long for a space to share, reflect, and connect with others walking a similar path.

This programme may not be right for you right now if:

  • You’re severely burnt out and need to focus on healing before taking on new leadership challenges.
  • You’re new to social change or creative industries work and still exploring your path.
  • You’re looking for a rigid, one-size-fits-all solution rather than a flexible, values-driven approach.

What if I need access support?

We want this programme to be a supportive, welcoming space for everyone.

  • All sessions take place on Zoom, with live captions available.
  • Regular breaks are built into the sessions to support focus and well-being.
  • You’ll receive a short access needs form ahead of the programme to help us make any adjustments you need.
  • Sessions will be held with care, flexibility, and respect for where each person is at—we aim to create a space where you feel safe to show up as you are.

Why should I join?

Leadership can feel isolating, especially in the cultural sector, where the stakes are high and resources are often limited. This programme offers:

  • A circle of solidarity and support with peers who understand your challenges.
  • Tools to navigate the complexities of leadership with courage and creativity.
  • A framework for aligning your work with your values and building something sustainable.
  • Space to reflect, plan, and lead with integrity in a rapidly changing world.

Working with the brilliant James Gough has been transformative. His values-based approach didn't just support me as an artist - it reignited the ambition and momentum of our entire theatre company. We've moved from disillusionment to clarity, and our work and lives are now deeply aligned with our ethos, thanks to his compassion and guidance.

How do I book?

To book your place, please complete the booking form on this page. A £50 deposit is required by the July meeting, and the remaining balance will be due by the first workshop in September. If cash flow is an issue, please get in touch, and we can discuss flexible payment options.
 Bookings extended until 30 June.

When does the programme start?

The programme will officially kick off in July with an initial meeting to set dates for the workshops and coaching sessions. The first workshop will take place in September. All dates will be confirmed at the July meeting which will be set by a poll.

How much time should I set aside beyond the sessions?

While the programme includes workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions, you may want to set aside some time to process what you’ve learned and make it specific to you and your organisation. The time you dedicate is up to you—it could be anywhere from 2 to 5 hours per workshop, depending on whether you’re bringing real practical issues into the one-on-one sessions.

Is there any written or prep work?

There may be a few questions sent in advance to get you thinking, but the programme will work if you arrive cold. However, you’ll get more out of it if you can tailor your learnings through preparation.
